What is the difference between based on a true story and inspired by a true story? - true story of winnie the pooh

I watched the strange, I learned that just because it's inspired by a true story does not mean it's true. So what's the difference?

"Based on" means it is fully developed and "mean a" product that it is completely invented.

The event was an inspiration for the piece of work that you have just seen. Not a single thing to work, must be true, but perhaps still the inspiration from real life. Films tend to have more inspiration to be as factual.

on the basis that it really means to try to stick to the facts, but inspired by the history means that the person is encouraged to make this film

"On the basis of means to try" to keep the basic facts. "Inspired by" means that the root of the story and do what they want.
